Here's the first attempt at using the beautiful rabbit pelts I just got from Leaha over in Tonasket. (For more info on these pelts, look at the previous post)Sorta scary cutting up the first one but I learned really a lot. Mainly I figured out the pattern needs some adjustments but other than that, construction went well and in the end, it's super warm and soft.
I was wearing it with the brim flipped up like this and
I like the brown color fur with the red, but the white on the brim is making me think Santa may want to wear this to the hardware store so next attempt will be with charcoal or light gray.
This was turned inside out with the brim in back so we could see how it would look with just a band, no brim. Love it...
I really love the way the fur falls below the band in the picture below.
